British Lymphology Society

The British Lymphology Society is an organisation that works to co-ordinate a strategy for improving the management of chronic oedema, particularly lymphoedema. They publish a Directory of Lymphoedema clinics in the UK, and could advise you whether there is one near you. Sometimes these clinics will treat lymphoedema using bandaging without MLD, but some offer MLD and bandaging. Depending on the exact nature of your condition, the British Lymphology Society could also help you with further information, including on self-massage if this appropriate for you. Wittlinger's Therapy Center is the central hub of edema therapy. Amongst other therapies, Combined Decongestive Therapy (Complex Physical Decongestive Therapy) is comprised of Dr. Vodder's Manual Lymph Drainage, followed by compression bandaging.
